Masp field trip

How we express ourselves

Central Idea: 

People express ideas and feelings through different forms of art.

During this Unit of Inquiry we are investigating how feelings and ideas are expressed through Art. One of our activities is to visit Masp and observe real pieces of Art (paintings and sculptures) while discussing what was expressed by the artist.

After a short bus trip we arrived at Masp and were really 
anxious to get inside...

A little bit of talking before we go for it...

...and we started our tour. 

Nature, human figure, abstract, sculptures.

We had read "Degas and the little dancer" 

by Laurence Anholt in class, 

and guess who we met there...

Time to put our observations on paper.

We made a sketch on three different paintings:

 Our investigation was really successful 

and we are ready to learn much more!!!!
