Our new Unit of Inquiry: 

"Sharing The Planet"

Central Idea: The environment is affected by 

the way people use resources

Throughout this Unit of Inquiry, we will look at different kinds of resources; reducing, reusing and recycling and our responsibility for the well-being of the environment.

We started to tune in by observing pictures of environmental problems in the world: Deforestation, human waste- trash and drought.

Here are some of the issues discussed in PYP 3 through "I see, I think, I wonder" routine.

 I wonder how did this trash get here...

 I wonder why is there so much trash in the water...

 I wonder if the turtle dying ...

 I wonder how the turtle got to where there is trash...

 I wonder if there are more places with mountains of trash...

 I wonder if there are places with no trash at all...

 I wonder why the beach is cracking...

 I wonder if someone will clean the trash...

 I wonder if the plants will grow again...

 I wonder if people are saving water...

 I wonder if people can stop wasting water...

PYP 3 Sigma is sharing a little bit of their

favourite part of their holidays.

 Carolina Park -  I went to Miami and I got many shells.

Rafaela - I went skiing in France and I loved it.

Valentina T .- I went to a restaurant in Italy and I ate pasta.

 Arthur - The best part of my holidays was going to a toy shop to buy a new toy.

Mateo - I went to Francisco Xavier city and I saw lots of cows. It was nice to touch them.

João Pedro - I went to Punta del Este with my family. My favourite part was when I was sandboarding on the dunes.

Maria Carolina -  The best part of my holidays was when I visited “Parque da Monica”.

Carolina B. - I visited a water park. I had fun!

Eduarda - I had fun with my grandma!

Sophia - I had fun in the swimming pool!

Tiago - I went to praia Brava and I had fun swimming in the ocean.

 Felipe G. - I played  with my family at the beach.

André C. - I was in Canela visiting my grandma.

Felipe C. -  I went to praia da Baleia and I had fun in hotel.

Ana Clara - I had fun in the pool at my beach house.

 João Carlos  - I went to a ship cruise. 

Amanda - I went to Punta del Este with my family and we had fun at the beach.

Luisa - I went to Maresias with my family and I had fun with my cousin.
